With roots firmly in the Kiwi woolshed, New Zealand's much-loved yarn lady, Margaret, has taken her love of brightly-dyed yarns to the doorsteps of people all around the country.
Margaret is a passionate lover of yarn and people - always wanting the very best for each of her clients and each hank of yarn that goes through her hands. She treats every hank of yarn with tender loving care just as she would want ever person in her world treated. People's uniqueness and individuality matters to Margaret and in her life has two roles. One as a person very immersed in the world of yarn (dyeing yarn and designing patterns) and in her other world of working with people who are neurodivergent, or having behavioural issues - enabling each person to embrace their uniqueness and world of colour so they can live their potential.
While two different worlds - the two flow into each other and are expressed through her work in both ways - full of passion and full of colour and creativity.
As Margaret says "I invite all people to share in my love of yarn, and enjoy the healing properties of yarn next to your body. The warmth and colour can bring such wholeness to life. I invite all people to discover healing and creativity in working with me to find your "colour" in this black and white world".
One stitch at a time, one garment at a time, one woven fabric at a time..... together we can create and make. One step at a time, one experience at a time, we can find our space and place in what can be a crazy world - we can find we we fit!
I love working with the undyed natural yarn that comes from the farms in New Zealand. I believe in supporting local.
